Vladimir Pershanin penalty box, the scouts and infantry. "Okopnaya truth" of the Great Patriotic
new book from the author of bestsellers "Mortals field" and "Commander penal company"! The terrible truth about the Great Patriotic War. War through the eyes of soldiers - Ordinary infantrymen, scouts, artillery, penalty box.
"heroes of this book share one thing - they were all in the midst of war, at its tip. Now they now in his eighties. They do not need to show off. They told me the truth. The very "trench the truth," which is not too favored the higher ranks for decades, when the fashion was the general's memoir does not go to the "little things": how a frontal attack killed thousands of soldiers, which had spent the night in the winter soldiers, what they ate and what I thought. Endless repetition of the words "heroism, bravery, sacrifice, you can adjust the destiny of one size fits all veterans. This is correct words, but the soldiers did not like them. They gave Homeland everything we could. Everyone has his own destiny, as a rule, very difficult. They remember the horrors of war is extremely frankly, without self-censorship and omissions, without embellishment. They are living voices you hear in this book ... "
in practice: a surprisingly good collection of processed memories, like Drabkin - "I fought for."
six stories - intelligence, infantry, air defense, artillery, drivers, etc..
